| e-barometr newsletter - number 1 and 2 (2007-04-20) |
Prognosis for the situation in the Podkarpackie and Lubelskie regions in second quarter of 2006. Situation in first quarter 2006.
Macroeconomic conditions: A dynamic growth in exports, coupled with domestic demand in Poland most likely played a significant role in the growth seen in the
Podkarpackie and Lubelskie Provinces in the first quarter of 2006 and contributed to lowered unemployment and more jobs, although this growth was on a slightly lower scale than that noted across the country. In light of the positive trends observed in the business sector across Poland and the optimistic prognosis for economic growth in 2006-2007, we foresee that these
positive conditions will be maintained in the Lubelskie and Podkarpackie Provinces as well. In the Lubelskie region conditions for producers of food products and machine equipment are expected to be particularly favorable. |
